The Zen Micro is a very user-friendly
mp3 player thanks to Creative’s award winning user interface. Transferring
songs to the Zen is very easy, just install the software, run the program
and select the songs you want. You also get a few other programs from
the disc, including, an audio converter and music organizer. The 5GB player
is charged using the USB socket located on the top of the player. |

The player is controlled using very efficient
touch-pad sensors, with the only actual switch being the hold button which
locks the player to stop any accidental operation. There is a microphone
on the top of the player that allows you to record directly to the player’s
hard drive. The menu of the player leads to some other features including
organizer, time & date, calendar, equalizer and recording options.
The rechargeable Li-ion battery is easily removable via a sliding cover
on the back of the player. The headphones supplied with the Zen provide
crystal-clear audio and work well with the player. The Zen Micro is a
very good mp3 player, although to perform best it needs regular firmware
updates or crashes become increasingly likely.
