My second Kodak camera and one that performed as well
as could be expected for a digital compact. |

| There were a number of specifications that attracted me to this camera, the first two being storage media (Secure Digital/MMC) and battery power (2xAA). An optical zoom, while only 3 times, is enough to frame a picture correctly when you can't quite get in the right position. There is MPEG4 movie capability but this, along with the 'share' facility were of least importance to me. At least Kodak supply a hand strap which is something most mobile phone manufacturers seem to omit. While the pictures are undoubtedly of good quality this camera is let down by the heavy battery consumption. The menus, controls, and functions are easily understood although the on/off rotary dial (pictured below) is easily accidentally turned while in your pocket or camera case. |

As far as I'm aware (I haven't looked into it in any detail) the 'Easyshare' feature simply means you can tag images 'on the go' for later transfer or printing (presumably with the Kodak docking system). I much prefer to simply remove the media card and transfer the entire contents to the PC for scrutiny and sorting. |
