This is probably one of the most expensive items of software that I've ever bought. I like free stuff you see, which makes it all the more annoying when the 'paid for' in fact, 'expensively paid for' software gives me nothing but problems. Unfortunately this is the case with Paperpot 11. If this was free I'd have thrown it out long ago.

The software is intended to help organise your paperwork. It does this by storing, sorting and displaying scanned documents, pictures and PDF files. If it did this faultlessly I would be happy, but no, it lets me down in a number of ways.

In an attempt to auto rotate scanned pages it sometimes has trouble with almost blank pages. When this happens the program freezes.

After scanning a number of pages and the 'Done Scanning' button is pressed the software sometimes freezes. As in the picture on the left. You can imagine the frustration after scanning 34 pages and this happens.

When in folder view Paperport struggles to display some thumbnails. This happens most often with PDF files. When scrolling through a completed document of 100 pages or more, the slide bar won't let you get past a certain number.

Yes, I've re-installed the software. Yes, I've checked for patches and updates. Yes, it's still the same, and is so unreliable I have to scan outside the software and then import to Paperport for filing.
