I would imagine the Swedish for 'Compact, use
anywhere chair that offers good back support'
would be rather too much to handle for those of us
this side of the North Sea. So, Stol it is,
and you can't say that we aren't educational here

This very comfortable chair from Ergolife
is new to the UK and offers instant, ground level
seating for occasions such as picnics, camping, fishing
or on the beach.
It gives good back support and prevents the otherwise
inevitable sore elbows.
Handmade from birch with canvas fittings, the chair
is much stronger than first impressions suggest. I
weigh in at a hefty 16+ stone and the Stol
has proved to be perfectly capable of supporting me.
I am sure that users who might surpass me in the girth/weight
stakes would find the chair equally robust and supportive.
Our review chair has seen a lifetime of users in
a short space of time and all of them commented on
the chair's comfort and ease of use.
The Stol is easily cleaned should it get muddy
and the varnished wood finish gives good protection
from the elements.
When not in use, the Stol
is simply rolled up and stored in its neat carrying
bag.
In the camping environment, it can safely be used
on top of a groundsheet inside a tent, as there are
no sharp edges or protrusions. It also has the obvious
advantage that it can be used inside a low-headroom
tent.
Weighing at just 985g and about 400mm
by 100mm when rolled up, the Stol takes up little room.
It is the ideal solution for campers that need seating
for the whole family but are limited by space in the
car or trailer.
